Last autumn Harlequins announced that the Household Cavalry Foundation (HCF) had been selected as one of the club’s official charities.
The club’s support will help the Army’s senior Regiment’s charity by raising its profile among the sporting community and by generating funds through a number of activities among them the launch of a specially designed rugby shirt.
The attractive, jointly branded shirt officially goes on sale today and is available online at www.quins.co.uk.
Funds raised will directly help the HCF with its work supporting Household Cavalry soldiers and their families in times of need. This support will be brought into sharp focus when over 150 members of the HCR deploy to Afghanistan on Operation HERRICK 18 in March.
Harlequins are also working closely with HCF whilst HCR are on HERRICK 18 by inviting families and friends to Quins matches and rugby camps.
